Yunel and Dialogbild honor Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus with personal life map

Berlin/Hamburg. Exactly 10 years after the founder of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, two German companies have honored Muhammad Yunus with a personal 'World Map of Happiness'.

July 18, 2016

Frankfurt/Berlin. Ready for the second half of your life? In her article about radical shifts in life, FAS author Katrin Hummel features Yunel and the biography work we do for people aged 40+. Why wait until you are old to choose the life you want? Why not take time for a structured approach to shape your biography when you are still young enough to make happiness work?

Dissertation on 'Poverty Reduction through Social Business' honored with two research awards

Frankfurt/Hamburg. Those are the days... when you forget about the hours spent in Dhaka's traffic, cold showers in wintertime due to a lack of energy, the bugs caught in rural Bangladesh, and the sleepless nights that come with a Phd... After having received the the national study award from Körber Foundation (Deutscher Studienpreis), our research on poverty reduction though social business in Bangladesh was now awarded KfW Bank's 'Prize for Excellence in Applied Development' research. Thanks to my PhD supervisor Prof. Dr. Boris Braun from Cologne University, the Yunus Centre in Dhaka, and my two great research companions in Bangladesh: Tanzer Ahmed Siddique and Tajmary Akter. Without you, the dissertation would not have seen the light of the day!
