What I do

Yunel | 01 inspiring biographies

Since 2015, Yunel is the heart and soul of what I do. Yunel is a Berlin-based start-up with the mission to unleash human potential and happiness. Yunel offers a novel approach to biography for people aged 40+. Applying the science of happiness and wellbeing, we help our clients treasure significant life experiences, embrace the art and science of happiness, and prepare themselves for a future of purpose and impact. Our products comprise unique 'halftime' biographies in book format and beautiful life maps, created by French artist Anna Marin.

The name 'Yunel' renders homage to Nobel Peace Laureates Muhammad Yunus and Nelson Mandela. In my view, they are wonderful examples of human potential and the transformative power of social business and applied positive psychology.

Training | 02 developing leaders

Facilitating McKinsey's 'New Hire Orientation' program or preparing younger colleagues for client engagements, was part of my job at McKinsey. In fact, I have always enjoyed education, which was part of the reason why I decided to become a trainer in Positive Psychology. Whenever time allows, I conduct trainings related to social business, applied positive psychology and centered leadership.

Among my European clients are the German Association for Positive Psychology (DPGG), Seas Europe in Croatia, Ashoka CEE in Austria, as well as EBS Business School, Social Impact Lab, and McKinsey & Company in Germany. I usually leave these trainings with high energy and new ideas.

Moderation | 03 facilitating exchange

Once a journalist, always a journalist! Back in 1997 I got to know Erich Böhme, the former chief editor of the German 'Spiegel' and moderator of 'Talk im Turm' (SAT. 1), a popular talk show on political affairs. For two months, I joined his team in Berlin.

Ever since, I love moderating panel discussions and workshops dealing with social concerns. Among my previous clients are, e.g. Grameen Creative Lab, FOM Hochschule, Allianz Stiftungsforum, Young Presidents Organization, Entrepreneurship Organization, Green Belt Movement, Wangari Maathai Foundation, and the Karl Kübel Stiftung.
